Limitation of Liability 

Please be aware that A+ Academic Editing, Canberra will endeavour to produce the best work possible for you. However, you are responsible for the content, quality and final use of your edited document.

It is your responsibility to accept or reject the edited work, and A+ Academic Editing, Canberra can accept no liability for damages or costs caused by any omissions or errors left in the document.

You, the client will be responsible for the decision to publish your work.

A+ Academic Editing, Canberra accepts no responsibility: for the factual accuracy of submitted documents; for your adherence, in the submitted documents, to the scope of the professional or academic assignment; for the mark that you achieve from your academic institution; or for any copyright, plagiarism, trademark, or patent infringements.

Invoicing and Payment 

Once you have accepted our quote for the work and acknowledged that you accept our Terms and Conditions, we will email you an invoice with payment details.

We will not begin work on your document until we have received payment, either by bank transfer or via PayPal.

If you find our work to be unsatisfactory, please contact us to discuss your concerns. We will endeavor to rectify your reasonable concerns at no extra cost.


Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and no client details will be passed to third parties either verbally or electronically.  We are aware that a client’s work may contain original and sensitive information and we undertake to ensure that any work that we are editing is treated as confidential and kept secure on a private computer.  We will not share your work with anybody else without your permission.

Permission to engage an editor 

For postgraduate students, we will need you to confirm that your supervisor knows that you are engaging the services of an editor/proofreader and has given their approval.  We will also need you to send us a link to any rules your Department expects editors/proofreaders to follow, or guidelines to which your thesis is required to conform.  And finally, it is accepted practice that you acknowledge in your thesis that you have had the benefit of editorial advice, by naming the editor and giving a brief description of the service rendered.


The agreement may be terminated at any time by notice in writing given by either party. In the event that the agreement is terminated, we are entitled to payment for work undertaken up to the date on which the notice is received. Any money received upfront, in respect of work not undertaken will be refunded within 7 days of the date on which the notice is received.
